Hi Shelley, I love both historical & western books. I somehow think I would have enjoyed living out on the prairie ’til it came time to want to indulge in a bubble bath or go to sleep at night! Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy of A Texan’s Choice. I have the first two in my stash! Have a blessed week…Linda M.
Hello Shelley,
I love reading your books (amish, western or whatever you want to write). What I like most about your Heart of a Hero series is that the men (heros) are real men they know how to respect their women while doing what is right. I know Scout is the roughest of the bunch, but I have high hopes for him. Thanks for giving some away and for being able to enter the contest this way.
Shelley I forgot to put my last name on the comment post. Debbie Hughes
Shelly, I love Westerns. I was raised in Texas. Maybe that’s one reason. I love ranches and Rodeos. Cowboys are one of a kind. Also like riding horses. That used to be my main kind of books. Still own some. I like Historical books too, especially those in the 1800s. Love the women’s clothes. I have tried to win this book. Hope to get lucky this time.

Shelly, I didn’t know I liked reading about the west until I read one of your books and got hooked. Now, I can’t seem to get enough. Keep them coming.
Thanks for the opportunity.
I like western & historical but I like them to have some romance. I wouldn’t want to live in the past though.I like our modern conveniences.
First, love your name and we spell it the same way!
I have so enjoyed your books and how you write the characters. I have read (so far) both of your Heart of a Hero books. It’s hard to describe what it is that draws me in but there is an honesty that makes you feel like this could really happen and they seem like real people for good or bad.
I sometimes wish I had lived back then because a person’s character, I feel, can’t help but be strengthened and you couldn’t be lazy and I feel like you would be more drawn to God and his beauty than we are now. One of my biggest fears is to raise children that have the desire and longing to glorify God and sometimes in this society’s world view it is so hard! I can’t help but wonder if my children’s character would have been better off having lived back then too. Sigh, we are where God wants us to be and when for that matter.
Thank you for you books!
To be honest, I discovered only after reading the first two books of the Heart of a Hero series that I do like historical westerns. They just take you to a time and place where everything is tough but also “real”. It’s not all about the “status quo”. Very refreshing! Thanks for the opportunity to win A Texan’s Choice, but also thanks for all your work. I love your Amish novels so much and now the westerns, too! From one of you biggest fans…
I loved “A Texan’s Choice” ! The only thing that I did not like is that it is the last book… I would love to read more about Miles and also about Russell !
Thank you for sharing some many great stories with us!
God bless!
Shelley, I fell in love with your Heart of a Hero series. The characters are believable and humanly flawed just trying to do their best, like the rest of us. I have always loved the western era and I think you’ve done a wonderful job depicting this time in history. I can’t wait to read “A Texan’s Choice”. I have a feeling Scout is going to be my favorite character too!
