Ah, Mary Yoder’s

I had a great time in northern Ohio this week! After signing books at the Berean Christian Bookstore in Canton, I spoke to a crowd of about 50 at the Stark County Library. All the ladies (and 2 men!) were so kind, and kept me on my toes…especially when a couple wanted hints about who killed Perry Borntrager! I stayed calm and firm and told them that they were going to have to wait until September to find out. ;-)   (Found releases September 4th)

On Wednesday morning, I drove up to Middlefield, and had just enough time to have a super lunch at Mary Yoder’s Restaurant. I’m a huge fan of coconut cream pie, and I have to say that Mary Yoder’s has the best. So here is my lunch…pie!

When a man walked by and asked if I felt guilty for eating only pie for lunch I shook my head and told him that I never feel guilty about coconut cream pie. :-D   That poor man~he didn’t quite know how to respond to that!

This weekend, both my son and my brother will be in town. (Arthur’s already here…and Rudy is soooo happy to see him!)  I’ll be cooking lots and smiling even more. I hope y’all will have a great weekend, too!  Shelley

The pie looks yummy! But I’m curious if the man who asked if you felt guilty eating only pie was Amish or English.
