First, I’m so sorry I haven’t been replying very quickly to everyone. I’ve been having a little bit of trouble getting my computer to ‘like’ my new blogging software. It kept booting me off! But I think we’re doing just fine now, thanks to my extremely patient website designer.

Because I’ve been so slow, I’ll have my husband draw a name this evening for the Starbucks gift card and book. So, if you happen to still want to enter my drawing, please do!

We had such a nice Thanksgiving here. My son came home and brought a friend-Drew from Mississippi! Drew was the definition of a perfect houseguest-helpful, neat, and incredibly polite. : )    My son Arthur’s arrival also brought kids and more kids. He’s a pretty social guy, so it felt like every afternoon, I had a whole crew of noisy college boys. It was fun to cook for them…but a little exhausting!  They drove back to college early Sunday morning.

I have to say I couldn’t help but smile yesterday when I came home from church to find a silent house! I hadn’t realized it, but my daughter, husband, and I have gotten used to our new little quiet routine. The three of us ate pie last night and watched The Amazing Race together.

Today, it’s work for me. I took last week off, so I get to begin GRACE this morning. I can’t wait to write CHAPTER 1.

I visited a friend’s house for Thanksgiving. By the time I left it was dark and rainy. My friend’s dad backed into my car and now my bumper is cracked. But at least he had a hitch on his SUV because otherwise I may have lost a headlight. I needed those to drive the curvy road home and not hit a deer! Luckily, no deer sightings. Also, my friend is raising her sister’s 3 girls, ages 4,6,& 8. I didn’t mind their constant chatter and they were a joy to be around for 3 hours!
Hope Chapter 1 is going smoothly!

Marcie,

Deer are definitely something to worry about this time of year. Last Thanksgiving one jumped out in front of my son and ruined his front bumper!

I bet those little girls were fun to be around! Hope your Christmas season will be great…it feels like Christmas time now that it’s so cold out!
