Thanks to everyone who’s been taking part in this giveaway! I’ve truly enjoyed reading everyone’s one word resolutions! Once again, I’ve learned so much from all of you. We’ve had over 400 entries, but the contest will still continue until midnight tonight!

So, if you’re just now hearing about the drawing, all you have to do to enter is tell me what one word you’re taking to heart for 2012. Please read some of the entries…you’ll get inspired!

I thought I’d add another photo of the Amish quilt. My little dachshund Suzy was happy to be this morning’s model!

ThankĀ  for stopping by~

What am I taking to heart this year. Trust. Trust that everything is in His hands and trust that this year whatever will come will be okay as long as I put my trust in God. I read something in the Budget yesterday. The scribe talked about the things that came through their home in 2011 like breast cancer and the loss of a loved one. She said that if she had known the challenges she was going to face in 2011 ahead of time that she probably would have been more worried and made them bigger than they were. Instead, as she went through them she saw God’s hand on everything as they got through struggle after struggle. I don’t know what 2012 holds for my family but HE does and I will trust Him through it all.

I think Trust as well. To turn everything over to the Lord’s hands…and most importantly, to leave it there! We so often want to “take it back” for just a little while…

Thankful – I recently went through a tough time and decided to write a “thankful” journal every day. Each night I write all the good things in my life or good things that happened that day that I am “thankful” for. A friend suggested doing this to ease the pain I was feeling and it really does work. It takes away the thoughts of what is wrong and makes you realize how much in our daily we really have to be thankful for.

Faith… until Dec. 2011 when I was diagnosed with having Cancer I did not have Faith. I had to have a Hysterectomy Nov. 29th and they sent out the parts they took from me to be tested more thoroughly and that is when they found the Cancer. Thanks to my wonderful Doctor and his staff for being right on top of things and getting me into the Oncologist ASAP for a second opinion and just a week ago I found out I did indeed have Cancer but the margins were clear! Today as I sit here Cancer Free I can only say it is a blessing from GOD. I always look at things in the worst way I can… with Faith I can look at things in a better way.

MAGNIFY—-I want to magnify the Lord in 2012. In my life,my job and as a wife, mother and grandmother. I really like the word TRUST also. I think we all can TRUST the Lord more. When you can’t see HIS HAND, you can trust HIS HEART. We have had family members with cancer. Some in heaven and some cancer free now. My gandmother at age 95 went home to be with the Lord. I need to TRUST HIM more and MAGNIFY HIS name.
