Even for a writer, sometimes there are just no words. My mother passed away suddenly this week. We’re heading to California tomorrow, and I’ll be back the middle of next week.
God bless you all, and may God bless you and your families as well.

Shelley, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother’s passing. I know from experience (my dad passed away in 2009) that there are no words you can say to someone to take their pain and grief away. I know what helped me get through were all the prayers from others. Because of those prayers, God gave me strength to get through each day. I still miss my Dad everyday and still shed tears but the pain has gotten less.
Shelley, you will be in my prayers as well as your family. May you feel God’s loving arms around you and may He give you Peace and Strength to get through each day.
Yours In Christ
Patti
Shelley, So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Please know that you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. It most definitely will be a hard time. Grief can be over powering at times. Praying for God’s strength to see you through.
Blessings!
Judy
Shelley,
I am so sorry for your loss. A parent’s role leaves such a footprint. Remember, it’s during these devastating times that the Lord is carrying you. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
I’m praying for you and your family. May God bless you.
Shelley & family,
I am so sorry to hear this. Be safe. You are all in our prayers. Such a sad time of the year, but no time is a good time.
Hugz/prayers,

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father in Dec 93 and my mother in March 99. You always miss your loved ones but it gets easier to bear with time. No time is a good time to lose someone, but unexpectedly is especially hard and at the holidays. I took comfort in the knowledge that my parents were not suffering. And in the expressions of sympathy of friends and co-workers. God be with you and your family in this time of grief. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Shelley – my heart just sank. I am so very very sorry.
Shelly,
Sorry for the sudden loss of your mother. I know how painful that can be my dad passed away in 1997 when I was two months shy of my 13th birthday. Hold on to your memories and stay close to the Lord! He loves you and so do all your fans, family, and friends. Prayers, ((hugs)) and love in Pennsylvania!
I’m sorry to hear about your Mother. I lost both my
Mother and Mother-in-law exactly five months apart
nine years ago. The holidays are the worst – bringing back
memories that seem stronger than during the rest of the
year. Know that, although time does ease the pain some,
it is okay to grieve (and enjoy) those memories. I’ll never forget
what helped me most – it sounds strange now. My husband
started singing “It’s a great, great morning. Your first day in Heaven, as you stroll down the golden Avenue.” I completely
lost my composure but it helped sink in the fact that they
were with God now & far happier than imaginable. I hope this
helps. My prayers are with you.
I am terribly sorry..
Shelley- I will say a prayer for you.. So sorry about this loss.
I learned alot when my mother passed away.. just how deep and special a mother’s love is.. I became a better mother through the experience.
At some point when you feel better, perhaps a mother’s love could be a book topic; the rich heritage and the role a mother plays in Amish life.
You are right – there are no words! I lost my mom suddenly in September. The knowledge that she is with the Lord in Heaven is a comfort – but – the hole that she left in my heart will never be filled!
So very sorry about the loss of your Mom, the pain never leaves but does get better with time. Knowing she’s with the Lord is such a blessing. My prayers to you and your family.
I just heard of your mom’s passing and I wanted to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Take care and God bless you all.
You and your family have my deepest sympathy. I am very sorry for your loss. I know God will keep you in his care as you go through this time of need.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of griefing over the loss of your mother.
I just learned of your Mother’s Home going,Shelley. My prayers are with you as you walk through this time of adjustment and acceptance of your loss. May God so richly bless you and your family and give you strength. When the grief is the worst, just turn to Him and let Him hold you close and love you.
I agree with Janet who wrote that “A Mother’s Love” might be a good topic for a future book.
