Happy Friday!

Posted Mar 25 2011, 10:13 am

Thanks to everyone who has made time to stop by and look at the new bookcovers this week! I’ve had a good time sharing them with you.

I ran errands with my husband this morning and now am finally settled in at my desk to write. When we left the grocery store, it was spitting snow…I guess our cold weather isn’t quite over yet.

Anyone have plans for the weekend? We’re going to make a quick trip to Bloomington to see my sister-in-law on Saturday, but other than that, it should be pretty quiet. I’m making Julia Child’s French Onion Soup tonight~proving that I really am just about back to normal. You’ve got to stir those onions for almost forty minutes! I really am so happy just to be doing regular things.

I also bought some of those ‘space bags’. I was hoping to put away all the winter sweaters, mittens and scarves…but if it’s snowing, I may just wait a bit.

Has anyone started soccer or spring baseball yet? Going to the movies? I’d love to hear what y’all are up to!

Again, thanks for stopping by this week, and I’ll see you again on Monday!

with blessings,

Hi Shelley. I am so excited my friend and I are heading off to Walnut Creek this Saturday for a whole week. I am looking forward to it. I will be glad to leave Ontario because on Tuesday night we got another 25cm of snow and it is not melting right now because it is so cold. So needless to say I will take the spitting of snow over what we have. Infact as I am writing this e-mail it is snowing again!! Maybe if we are lucky when we come back home next Sunday the snow might be gone. Spring cannot come soon enough. I really want to get out into my garden. The robbins were out last week before we got all the snow and needless to say I have not seen any this week.

I want to thank you again for the suggestions on what to see and where to visit while we are in Walnut Creek.

    Have a great weekend.

    God Bless

Oh! Spitting snow? I’m a visiting out of town and can’t believe there is snow ther!! eeck!! We start baseball tomorrow. Usually the firstfew weeks are cold and I take big comfy blankets for my chair. Be safe.

  3. Had hoped to do more yard work this weekend, but I don’t think that’ll be happening. Wind chill of 19 and an inch of snow expected in south/central Ohio.

Good news is the forsythia finally bloomed and we had snow flurries twice already, so today’s snow will hopefully be it for the season!
