Here we go again…

Posted Nov 9 2010, 10:16 am

Those of you who are parents might be able to relate to this….

I’ve encouraged my daughter to continue with swim team her senior year. (that’s great!)

Practice starts at 5:00 am~which means she leaves the house at 4:35 am. (that’s not so great)

And yes, no matter how much I *know* she’s definitely old enough to get up and get on her way while I sleep…I just can’t NOT set my alarm and get up too. After all, it’s all going to be over in a few months. And next year, she’ll be off to college…

And no, I can’t go back to sleep until I’m pretty sure she’s made it to practice and is probably in the pool. Which means I might as well get up for the day at 4:30. (so <yawn> that’s not so good)

During last year’s swim season, I got a whole lot done. I wrote tons, read the whole Twilight series, and had my Christmas cards done before Thanksgiving. <g>

This morning I wrote ten pages by 8 am. Got on the treadmill, went to Walmart, and did a load of laundry. But right now I’m dragging…I might have to give in and take a nap!

Hope everyone else is having a good day, too.  If you live in the Ashland, OH area, please consider coming over to the library tomorrow, November 10, at 6:00pm. I’m going to be giving a book talk.  I’d love to meet you!

I do get! My kids have to get up at 5:30 for school and I wish I could lay in bed, but they are still too young for that plus I have to hug them before they leave or my day would be ruined!

I do get a lot of writing done in the morning before I have to get to my day job. It’s probably the most productive part of my writing day.

I love that, Tonya. My day would be ruined without that mornng hug, too.
